This experience offers a unique opportunity to swim alongside majestic animals in one of Australia’s oldest and most diversely beautiful marine sanctuaries, Nguthungulli Julian Rocks (NJR), which is home to more than 1000 marine species.
We will embark on a thrilling SCUBA adventure at NJR Nature Reserve. Here, you will have the opportunity to swim along sea turtles, leopard sharks, mantas, eagle rays, grey nurse sharks, and more than 500 different species of fish!
If we happen to spot a turtle, we will try to capture a clear picture of its face – collecting valuable photo-identification data is essential for our scientific work to monitor, protect, and better understand them!
If you are looking for a stunning, comforting, and environmentally friendly activity in Byron Bay, this is your tour!
$5 will be donated to Australian Seabird & Turtle Rescue Hospital Ballina from every purchase.
Byron Bay Sea Turtle School holds a permit to conduct marine turtle scientific research within the Cape Byron Marine Park (CBMP) issued by NSW DPI.
