LEARN DIVING FUNDAMENTALS
Always wanted to try scuba diving but don’t have the time to complete your certification? Come experience the beauty of the underwater world for the first time at one of Australia’s top 10 diving sites – Julian Rocks! This course requires no previous experience and allows you to have a feel for what it’s like to breathe underwater. Taking only 5 hours to complete this course can easily fit into any holiday.
All courses are conducted from experienced dive professionals that will teach you the basic concepts of diving and train you in the basic, necessary skills for you to be comfortable on your first ocean dive. Once comfortable in our heated onsite pool, you will depart to Julian Rocks where you will dive under direct supervision of your instructor up to 12m depth. During your dive, you are likely to encounter one of our 3 resident species of turtles, several fish species and maybe even some friendly rays. This course is a great trial before completing your Open Water Course.
Your course includes:
- Full equipment hire
- 1.5 hours confined water training and basic theory session
- 1 open water training dive at Julian Rocks*
- Certificate of recognition
Please bring with you:
- Swimwear
- Towel
- Dive medical if required (see disclaimer)
We recommend booking all courses in advance as we can become very busy, especially in peak times. It is advisable to book your tour at the beginning of your holiday window in case of a cancellation due to unsuitable conditions.
Disclaimer: Please note that for all courses you will require a dive medical if you are 45 years and over. You may also require a dive medical if you have a medical condition. Please contact us prior to booking to discuss if a medical will be required. All medicals must be completed prior to the first day of the course. For all courses, all participants must be able to swim and be comfortable in the ocean. It is required that you can speak and understand English for all courses. Please see our passenger policy for more details.
*Please note that instructors have the right to make a final decision based on safety precautions of whether or not it is suitable for students to dive in the open ocean according to their level of comfort in the confined water training session.
